Ready Play practises early listening, letter and picture-word skills, numbers, patterns, colors, shapes, story meaning, and five-senses vocabulary. These are playful foundations for VPK learning.
The letter, number, color, and shape packs are a warm-up for the teacher’s Foundational Skills Checklist; they do not replace its teacher-led paper check or quarterly goals.
In Pre-K, FAST is the state literacy assessment. Ready Play is not the official FAST test, does not predict a FAST score, and does not collect or store a child’s answers.
Five Senses connects with Frog Street classroom learning. Frog Street goals are observed by the teacher through everyday play, lessons, and interactions—not scored here.
Ready Play does not screen motor, communication, processing, development, or medical needs. For a concern, speak with your child’s teacher or pediatrician.
After one story, try a no-pressure follow-up: “What do you remember?” or “What happened first?” Let your child answer in their own words.
